MOBILISING ART FOR HEALING, BELONGING AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION
Building on the success of the original Artbulance, which has traveled across Denmark and internationally since 2019, Artbulance 2.0 takes a step forward with a fully electric and sustainable version. After thousands of kilometers on the road, our iconic pink vehicle is ready for a transformation—continuing to promote art as alternative medicine, now with a greener footprint.
Artbulance is a mobile mini-theatre and cinema, creating intimate artistic experiences inside while spreading music and joy in public spaces. Through performances and cultural activities, it engages local communities and fosters new encounters. Even during challenging times such as the pandemic, Artbulance brought live performances to schools, nursing homes, and public squares.
In August 2025 Artbulance 2.0 was launched with a traveling festival dedicated to culture and mental well-being, visiting seven cities across Region Syddanmark. The project brought artistic interventions to schools, hospitals and care homes, inspiring creativity and community engagement.
Through performances, workshops, and interactive experiences, Artbulance 2.0 continues its mission to reduce social isolation, stimulate imagination, and strengthen human connections — proving that art is a vital force for healing and togetherness. Alongside our activities in Denmark, the project continues to develop locally and regionally, starting also a collaboration with Sygehus Lillebælt, including regional hospitals and home care services. The work will adapt artistic interventions to educational and healthcare contexts, as well include a new experimental performance: AI CURE YOU.
Between 2026-2028, the project will also travel to Germany and Belgium as part of a new Creative Europe cooperation project, in partnership with Medeber Teatro & Mensch Raum Land.
