To prepare the runway, we realised the pilot projects Low and High Altitude and Fly low/Fly High, where we have organised preparatory activities to pull art out of its usual frame and work with new ways to collaborate, create new experiences and audiences in the region and in Denmark. Fly me to… A new show with Giuseppe Bonifati and Maestro Claudio Passilongo includes a repertoire of international classics, on the notes of boleros, jazz and bossa nova, and evoke several great musical icons and successes of the past. They fly the audience from Denmark to Italy, Spain, France, and then to Latin America, Asia…
We have realised also two important theatre co-productions and world premieres. Alberto in June 2021 in Holstebro, about the eminent Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti, and Ed elli a me in September 2021 in Copenhagen, about the maximum Italian poet Dante Alighieri.
From January 2022, we prepared a new original theatre production entitled Super Ole, as a collaboration between the children of Billund, theatre director Giuseppe L. Bonifati, creative producer Linda Sugataghy, the Italian playwright Roberto Cavosi, the composer Claudio Passilongo and the Hungarian scenographer Csaba Antal. Supported by Danish Arts Foundation. While the theatre show The Seagull was presented in a hangar of Billund Airport in the frame of Trekantområdets Festuge and Bornholms Kulturuge in Summer 2022, the project was supported among others by Den Jyske Kunstfond and Augustinus Fonden.
